Final stretches before the contestants perform their group opening number.

Got the call to head on stage for the opening number and Mom is gonna go sit in the audience to see it.

Opening number was fabulous! Now time for Zoe to get in the zone, and of course, stretch for her solo.
Gotta stretch her back too.
Ms. Shely came back stage to wish her good luck and say break a toe! Oh wait, she already did that!
She came off the stage after competing her solo and felt bad cuz she had one minor wobble. She is definitely a perfectionist. But the audience loved her and some people even gave her a standing ovation!!
Next was time to get dressed for awards and wait for the rest of the solos to be done. Toe too sore to put her heels on.

Little sis came back to wait with her sister before the awards. So nerve wrecking!!
Zoe felt better about how she did after texting with her friends who were in the audience and told her how great she did.

Time for all the contestants to head back on stage for the awards.

So at the awards they first started with the high score awards for the ballet, tap, jazz and acrobatics auditions. Then the highest scoring interview award. Zoe wins Top Scoring interview out of the 29 contestants!!! Wow!!! We were all so proud of her for that accomplishment!!
Then they announce the top 10 girls in random order and the girls who are called step to the middle of the stage. Zoe's name is announced in the top 10. We are all screaming.
Then they announce the top 5 and Zoe wins 3rd Runner Up overall!!!! We couldn't be more thrilled. She's worked so hard and dealt with dancing on a broken toe for the past 5 days and never complained and pulled out a huge win!

Shely and Grace were so excited and so proud of Zoe.

Heading back to the room after an 18 hour day!!! Whew!! Tired but happy.
But not too tired to have pizza before crashing out at 2:15am.
Even Mem and Pep came over to our room for some pizza before heading to bed.

Tomorrow is back to group competing. Zoe's first number is at 9am. Ugh! She has 2 group numbers tomorrow and Jordan has 2. Jordan is ready to get into the competition action!
But for tonight, or rather this morning, I am one proud Mama! Sweet dreams all!
