Day 9- Grand National Finals

This morning was the High Score awards from the week of competition as well as the announcement of which numbers have made it into the Grand Nationals finals later in the day.

Grand Nationals is where the top numbers in 6 different categories (solo; duo/trio; group; small line; large line and production/extended) compete for one winner in each category for 12 & under and then 13 & over.

Here's Zoe and Jordan heading out to the awards.

At the High Score awards, Zoe and Callan's duet got 1st Place in Division 3 duo/trios (11 and 12 year olds)!!!

Jordan's group lyrical number got 2nd Place in Division 2 group numbers (9 and 10 year olds).

Both Zoe's duet and Jordan's lyrical number made it into the Grand National finals for 12 and under and Zoe's group number, Silky Thoughts, made it in for extended 13 and over!!!

Jordan could not have been more excited to make it in to Grand Nationals. Quite amazing at such a huge competition!!

After awards we had just an hour to get Jordan ready and for her to stretch before she competed.

Quick team stretch in the Green room

Then out behind the stage to do a quick run through of their routine.

Good job Jordan Pie!

Then a team huddle for good luck

And Jordan is ready to compete!

They did great!  Everyone said it was the best they have ever done that number!

Then they all were anxious to head out to the pool "to celebrate" as Jordan put it.

Sydney L and Jordan

Right on girls!!  You killed it!!

Jordan heading out to the pool.

Next up was Zoe and Callan for their duet.  This is called duet stretching.

They nailed their routine as well. It looked absolutely beautiful.

Here they are talking with Ms. Shely after competing.

She told them they danced it perfectly and she was so proud of them.

Not sure what's so interesting on the iPhone??

And last up for the day was Silky Thoughts. Another great performance!

Debriefing with Miss Grace afterwards.

Now it's time for mom to get a little downtime while the girls play in the pool. Man am I wiped out and thoroughly exhausted. Can't wait to get home and go back to work so I can relax.

Oh wait....got another go-live on Monday. Doh!
