In the afternoon Zoe competed her pointe solo, Giselle variation. She was so worried about falling on her butt during her solo because the stage is very slippery. Not only did she not slip, she ended up scoring a Platinum for her solo which was the only platinum given in her category. She felt really great about that!

The girls did amazing with their number called Flatline. It was so dramatic & dynamic. They’ve competed it before as well as did it in their recital but it never came together like this. They got so many compliments on it from people who saw it. It got a Platinum & a Special Judges award called Strong & Dynamic. They were all smiles afterwards. Timelapse, that had the logistical issues, got a High Gold.
For Zoe & Jordan’s duet called Ghost, they got a Platinum & Special Judges award called Beautiful Moment in Time!! The head judge commented on their "exquisite technique", emotional connect, costuming & the choreography. Both Zoe & Jordan were thrilled with how they did.
In the afternoon Grandma Kenlynn arrived from Washington.
Tonight was the Petite Miss Dance competition. All the title holders from all age divisions are required to go each night to watch the other contestants. They wear their crowns and sashes & attend as a group. Here’s Jordan, Courtney & Jasmine before the left to go see the Petite competition.
Brad also arrived this evening. YAY!! No pictures of him yet. I’ll have to get some tomorrow. Zoe will compete her contemporary solo tomorrow morning & then take her final audition class in jazz in the early evening. Jordan will have a rehearsal tomorrow afternoon then will have her Junior Miss Dance solo competition tomorrow night. Exciting stuff!!
