Nationals Day 5: Ballet and Solo Excellence!

Day 5 was an exciting day. Started early with Zoe doing the Snowflake Queen on pointe in the Snowflake Waltz.

They got a Platinum (highest score you can get) and a special judges award titled "Classical Ballet Elegance".  That was unexpected.

Zoe got complemented from a dance teacher when we were at lunch re: her "pointe work". Little did she know this was only Zoe's 4th time ever doing this number on pointe!

Here's the team warming up.

The afternoon was thrilling. Zoe got First Place in contemporary solos in her division for Until We Bleed and Second place in her division for lyrical solos for Silent Night. She also got a special award from the head judge called "The Sky is Your Limit"!!!  Amazing!

Here's was a view last evening of Canal Street in the French Quarter from our 35th floor hotel room. Beautiful ending to a great day!
